They are seeking a Field Applications Specialist to support customers throughout NSW and broader ANZ regions.
This customer-facing scientific role combines technical expertise, training, relationship management, and problem solving.
You will work closely with researchers to ensure successful implementation and adoption of their technologies, providing experimental design guidance, workflow support, training, troubleshooting, and data analysis assistance.
This position is ideal for a scientist passionate about genomics who enjoys working directly with customers and bridging the gap between cutting-edge technology and scientific discovery.Responsibilities include:Acting as the primary technical liaison between customers and the companyDelivering customer onboarding, training programs, demonstrations, and workflow supportSupporting researchers with experimental design and best-practice implementation of 10x Genomics platformsTroubleshooting assay, instrument, software, workflow,



and data analysis issuesCollaborating with customers to optimise research outcomes and drive successful project completionMaintaining and developing long-term relationships with key research stakeholdersCommunicating customer feedback, application opportunities, and market insights to internal teamsSupporting sales activities through scientific consultations, seminars, trade shows, and conferencesContributing to technical documentation, training materials, and scientific resourcesEscalating technical issues appropriately and coordinating resolutions with internal support teamsMaintaining accurate records and providing regular feedback to managementSkills & ExperienceTertiary qualifications in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Genomics, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, or a related fieldStrong background in molecular biology and genomics workflowsExperience with Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) technologies and associated data analysis toolsExcellent troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilitiesOutstanding communication, presentation, and training skillsStrong customer service focus and ability to build trusted relationshipsAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively within a teamHighly organised with strong documentation and reporting skillsPrevious customer-facing experience is highly regardedExperience with single-cell genomics technologies is highly desirableFamiliarity with SFDC/CRM systems is advantageousCell culture and hands-on molecular biology laboratory experience preferredWillingness to travel extensively
