Location: Shepparton, VICEmployment Type: Full-timeSalary: $130,000 + SuperannuationHours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am–5:00pmSaturday Work: Occasional, depending on operational requirementsAbout the CompanyKreskas Brothers Transport is a well-established transport and logistics business with a strong fleet operation servicing Victoria and beyond.
They are seeking an experienced Workshop Manager to take ownership of their heavy vehicle maintenance operation in Shepparton.This is an excellent prospect for a hands-on leader who understands heavy vehicle maintenance, workshop planning, diagnostics and fleet reliability.About the Role:As the Workshop Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day maintenance, servicing and repair of the company's heavy vehicle fleet.The fleet includes Mercedes-Benz, Kenworth and Volvo trucks, so strong experience with modern heavy vehicle systems, diagnostics and preventative maintenance is essential.You will lead the workshop team, coordinate repair priorities, manage maintenance schedules and ensure vehicles remain safe, compliant and available for operations.Key Responsibilities:Manage the daily operations of the workshop and maintenance teamCoordinate scheduled servicing, preventative maintenance and repair work across the fleetPrioritise breakdowns and urgent repairs to minimise vehicle downtimeOversee diagnostics, fault finding and complex mechanical repairsSupport repairs and maintenance across Mercedes-Benz, Kenworth and Volvo trucksMonitor fleet compliance, safety standards and maintenance documentationPlan workshop workload, allocate jobs and ensure deadlines are metManage parts requirements,



stock levels and supplier relationshipsMaintain a clean, organised and protected workshop environmentSupport and mentor workshop staff where requiredCommunicate with operations to ensure fleet availability meets business needsAssist with continuous improvement of workshop systems, maintenance planning and fleet reliabilitySkills and Experience Required:Heavy Diesel Mechanic qualification or relevant trade qualificationPrevious experience in a Workshop Manager, Leading Hand or Senior Heavy Vehicle Mechanic roleStrong experience working with heavy vehicle fleetsExperience with Mercedes-Benz, Kenworth and Volvo trucks highly regardedStrong diagnostic and fault-finding capabilityExperience with hydraulic systemsGood understanding of preventative maintenance and fleet maintenance planningAbility to manage workshop priorities in a fast-paced transport environmentStrong communication and leadership skillsSafety-focused with a solid understanding of workshop compliance requirementsAbility to work independently and take ownership of workshop performanceWhat's on Offer:Salary package of $130,000 + superannuationStable full time position based in SheppartonMonday to Friday roster with occasional Saturday workApproximate working hours of 7:00am–5:00pmOpportunity to manage and improve a busy heavy vehicle workshopWork with a modern fleet including Mercedes-Benz, Kenworth and Volvo trucksLong-term opportunity with an established transport and logistics companyIf you are an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic or Workshop Supervisor ready to step into a management position, this could be a strong next step in your career.
