An exciting prospect is available for a Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) Engineer to join a leading automotive engineering team supporting the development and validation of next-generation vehicle technologies.Working within a highly collaborative environment, you will play a key role in planning, coordinating and executing HIL testing activities across a range of vehicle systems including ADAS, Infotainment, HMI and display technologies.
This position offers exposure to cutting-edge vehicle development programs and the opportunity to work closely with local and international engineering teams.Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with Product Development Engineers to capture and assess test requestsDevelop and coordinate HIL test plans to support program delivery timelinesLiaise with local and offshore validation teams to schedule and monitor test executionReview test progress, identify issues and support resolution activitiesExecute manual test scenarios for issue investigation and root cause analysisAnalyse and post-process test results to improve facility performance and testing methodologiesWork directly with feature owners and validation teams to maintain testing throughputHIL Facility Development & SupportSupport the introduction of new subsystem test facilities and methodologiesContribute to testing strategies for ADAS, infotainment, HMI and display technologiesPartner with vehicle validation teams to identify opportunities for migrating physical vehicle testing into HIL environmentsPropose innovative test environments,
mechatronic solutions and execution strategiesFacility Build & IntegrationAssist with identifying and sourcing vehicle components required for test rig buildsCoordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of componentsSupport HIL hardware build, integration and debugging activitiesConfigure systems, load software, perform diagnostics and establish test environmentsMaintain HIL facility equipment, workstations and dSPACE simulator infrastructureAbout YouYou are a technically curious engineer who enjoys problem-solving, testing complex systems and working across multidisciplinary teams.Knowledge of automotive diagnostics and communication protocolsExperience supporting ADAS, infotainment or vehicle electronics development programsBackground in electronics, mechatronics, validation or automotive testingExperience troubleshooting and debugging electrical or mechatronic systemsAbility to interpret vehicle wiring schematics and system architecturesUnderstanding of vehicle communication networks including CAN, LIN and EthernetFamiliarity with Windows-based engineering environmentsExposure to Python or scripting methodologiesKnowledge of IP configuration, connected devices and network setupUnderstanding of software development principles and version control systems such as SVNStrong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across local and offshore teamsTertiary qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace or related Engineering disciplineExperience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing environmentsExposure to dSPACE simulation platformsIf you're passionate about automotive technology, vehicle validation and engineering innovation, we'd love to hear from you.
