A Federal Government department is seeking multiple Lead Data Analyst to assist in creating analytical solutions that can be used to identify instances of Fraud/non-compliance.You will be responsible for leading the development, refinement, and management of detection indicators, ensuring alignment with high-quality, governed data assets and emerging fraud and non-compliance risks.
Collaborate with Data Scientists to support model development, interpret results, and embed insights into operational detection and risk scoring approaches.Initial contract to August **** with 2 x 6-month extension optionsEstimated start date August **** (pending onboarding and Availability)Baseline Security Clearance required (you must be an Australian Citizen to go through the vetting process).
Full time 37.5-hour work weekThis role can be located in ACT, QLD, WA, VIC, NSW, NT, SA & TASHybrid working arrangement.
Mix of onsite and WFHKey responsibilities:Experience translating analysis into clear, actionable outputs, including dashboards and reporting (e.g. Power BI, Tableau).




Ability to collaborate effectively with data engineering and data science functions to support end-to-end analytics delivery.Solid stakeholder engagement and communication skills, including the ability to explain complex analysis in plain language.Experience in quality assurance, validation, and continuous improvement of analytical products and data inputs.Lead stakeholder engagement to define analytical priorities, align outputs to business needs, and drive continuous improvement of data and analytics capability.Provide quality assurance over analytical outputs and data inputs, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with governance standards.Desired experience:Experience working in Fraud & Non-compliance programsWhat is on offer:Contract to August **** with a 2 x 6-month extension optionsThe chance to play a key role in a large Fraud/non-compliance ProgramFlexibility with working from home and in the office
