We're growing fast and expanding our presence across Australia.The opportunityThis is a senior, hands-on Finance Manager role.
You'll take day-to-day ownership of the finance operation, help build and train a new offshore team in the Philippines, and pick up high-impact projects across a transaction-heavy, multi-entity business.
It's a genuine ownership role with room to grow as the function scales.What you'll doOwn the month-end close end-to-end - accruals, prepayments, balance sheet reconciliations and the management packPrepare and oversee the monthly board pack, including analysis and supporting schedulesPrepare consolidated reports across the group, including intercompany eliminations, balances and transfer pricing / recharge mechanicsReview and approve bank reconciliations across all entitiesProduce lender / financier reporting and support covenant and borrowing-base monitoringLead the transition of finance in-house - managing the handover from our incumbent provider cleanly and with no disruptionHelp hire, onboard,



train and supervise the offshore finance team (AR, AP/Fleet, Payroll & Compliance); set ways of working, review standards and escalation pathsSupport group compliance: BAS, FBT, payroll tax, STP and year-end audit and financial statementsAssist with Baseplan and Xero administration and data integrity, and drive process improvement using AI and automationTake on ad hoc projects and commercial analysis - data-quality audits, portfolio / book analytics and funding-related modellingWhat you'll bringExperience managing a teamCA / CPA qualified (or equivalent); degree in Accounting, Finance or a related fieldStrong technical accounting, including consolidations and intercompanySolid understanding of Australian GST, BAS, FBT, payroll tax and complianceExcellent Excel skills and confidence working across financial systems and dataGenuinely self-directing - able to take ownership, run to deadlines and brief a busy Financial Controller conciselyExperience leading or coaching teams, ideally offshore / outsourcedHigh attention to detail and a consistent track record of hitting monthly deadlinesNice to haveProcess and systems improvement using AI and automationExperience with Baseplan or a similar asset / fleet ERPProficiency in Power BI and XeroExperience in a lender-backed / debt-funded business (covenant and borrowing-base reporting)Experience managing a provider transition or standing up an offshore finance team
