John Morrow Refrigeration – Shepparton VICJohn Morrow Refrigeration is seeking a skilled and experienced HVAC Technician to join our team on a full-time basis in Shepparton, VIC.
This is a pivotal position within our air conditioning and refrigeration services, where you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems for both commercial and residential clients.
As an HVAC Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our customers receive high-quality service and reliable climate control solutions, whilst upholding our reputation for excellence in the trades and services industry.Key responsibilitiesInstall, inspect, maintain and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems in commercial and residential propertiesDiagnose electrical and mechanical problems using testing equipment and hand toolsPerform routine maintenance tasks including cleaning filters, checking refrigerant levels and testing system functionalityRead and interpret blueprints, schematics and technical manuals to ensure accurate installation and repairsRespond to emergency service calls in a timely and professional mannerComplete job documentation, service reports and maintain accurate records of work performedEnsure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies on all job sitesCommunicate effectively with customers to explain issues, provide recommendations and discuss service optionsCollaborate with team members and supervisors to complete projects efficiently and to scheduleKeep tools, equipment and vehicles in good working condition and report any maintenance issuesWhat we're looking forValid trade qualifications or apprenticeship completion in air conditioning,



refrigeration or HVAC systemsCurrent ARC Tick certification or equivalent refrigerant handling certificationProven experience of at least 3 years working as an HVAC technician in a commercial or residential settingType A Gas servicing or equivalent certification is preferred and not essentialStrong knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems, including electrical and mechanical componentsProficiency in using diagnostic testing equipment and hand tools relevant to the tradeAbility to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics and system documentationExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detailStrong communication and customer service skillsPhysical fitness and ability to work at heights and in confined spacesValid driver's licence and reliable transport for travel between job sitesCommitment to health and safety compliance and best practice standardsWillingness to undertake continuing professional development and further trainingWhat we offerAt John Morrow Refrigeration, we are committed to supporting our team members with a competitive remuneration package and a positive work environment.
