This role plays a critical part in ensuring customer orders are loaded accurately, safely, and ready for dispatch each night.Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you'll be responsible for loading and unloading steel products, preparing customer orders, and supporting the efficient operation of our warehouse and dispatch team.About the RoleWorking night shift, you'll ensure customer orders are picked, checked, and loaded safely while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and takes pride in getting the job done right.Key ResponsibilitiesSafely load and unload trucks using forklifts and other material handling equipmentPick, check, and prepare customer orders for dispatchHandle steel coils, roofing sheets, flashings, and sheet metal products safelyVerify products and quantities against delivery documentationSecure loads to ensure secure transport and minimise damageComplete daily forklift pre-start inspections and report any maintenance issuesReceive, unload,



and store incoming materialsMaintain a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environmentWork closely with production and dispatch teams to meet delivery schedulesFollow all workplace health and safety procedures and quality standardsAssist with general warehouse and dispatch duties as requiredAbout YouCurrent LF Forklift LicenceExperience in a warehouse, manufacturing, logistics, or dispatch environmentExperience handling long or heavy steel products is highly regardedStrong commitment to workplace health and safetyReliable with excellent attendance and punctualityGood attention to detail and accuracyAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced environmentPositive attitude and strong work ethicAble to work independently and as part of a teamExperience with load restraint, chain restraint, or warehouse management systems will be highly regarded but is not essential.Why Join Design Sheetmetal?
