Irons Auto Repairs is seeking an experienced and dedicated Mechanic to join our team in Townsend, NSW.
This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to work on a diverse range of vehicles and provide high-quality automotive repair and maintenance services to our valued customers.
As a key member of our workshop, you will play a vital role in maintaining our reputation for excellence and ensuring customer satisfaction through your technical expertise and professionalism.Key responsibilitiesDiagnose vehicle faults and mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and technical expertisePerform routine maintenance services including oil changes, filter replacements, fluid top-ups and general inspectionsConduct repairs to engines, transmissions, braking systems, suspension and electrical componentsExecute welding and fabrication tasks as required for vehicle repairs and modificationsAdhere to all health and safety regulations and workshop procedures to maintain a safe working environmentMaintain accurate records of work completed and parts used for each vehicle servicedCommunicate effectively with customers to explain repairs needed and provide cost estimatesEnsure tools and workshop equipment are maintained in good working conditionKeep abreast of new automotive technologies and repair techniques relevant to the tradeWhat we're looking forRecognised apprenticeship or qualification in automotive mechanics or equivalent hands-on experienceProven experience as a mechanic in a professional workshop environmentStrong knowledge of vehicle systems including engines, transmissions,
