Mareeba Tyrepower is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Sales Assistant/Tyre Technician to join our team in Mareeba, QLD.
This is a full-time position based at our Mareeba location (QLD ****).
In this hybrid role, you will combine customer service excellence with technical tyre expertise, supporting both our retail operations and workshop activities.
You will be instrumental in delivering outstanding customer experiences whilst maintaining the high standards our clients expect from a professional tyre service provider.What you'll be doingProviding exceptional customer service by greeting customers, understanding their tyre and automotive needs, and recommending suitable products and servicesAssisting with tyre sales, including discussing tyre options, pricing, and product features to support customers in making informed decisionsSupporting tyre technicians with workshop activities, including tyre fitting, balancing, repairs and maintenance workMaintaining a clean and organised workshop and retail environment, ensuring all equipment and tools are properly stored and maintainedProcessing customer transactions accurately, managing payments, and maintaining detailed customer recordsHandling inventory management, including stock rotation, ordering supplies and maintaining accurate records of tyre stock and partsCommunicating effectively with customers regarding service updates, pricing and product availabilityAssisting with administrative tasks including scheduling appointments,



answering phones and responding to customer enquiriesEnsuring compliance with workplace health and safety standards and company policies at all timesWhat we're looking forPrevious retail or customer service experience, ideally in the automotive or tyre industryA genuine passion for customer service and a commitment to delivering positive customer experiencesBasic mechanical knowledge or willingness to learn tyre and vehicle maintenance fundamentalsStrong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse customersAbility to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environmentPhysical fitness and willingness to perform hands-on work, including lifting and handling tyres and equipmentReliability and punctuality with a qualified approach to workBasic numeracy and literacy skills with proficiency in using point-of-sale systems and computersA current driver's licence (preferred)Relevant qualifications or certifications in tyre fitting or automotive service (preferred but not essential)About usMareeba Tyrepower is a trusted member of the Tyrepower network, committed to providing high-quality tyre products and professional automotive services to our local community.
