Designed and delivered with Sydney Education, this program supports your transition into cardiac specialty nursing across Concord Repatriation General Hospital.What The Program OffersThree clinical rotations across key cardiac settingsFive cardiac study daysSimulation training, eLearning, and reflective practiceMonthly clinical supervision and ongoing team supportOrientation and supernumerary time for each rotationEligibility for academic credit with the University of TasmaniaThe program includes Cardiology, Coronary Care Unit (CCU) and the Cardiac Cath Lab.Successful applicants will be able to submit preferences for their rotationsAll applicants will gain critical care exposure in either Coronary Care Unit or Cardiac Cath Lab at a minimumApplicants will be able to preference either Cardiac Cath Lab or Coronary Care Unit as their elective rotationApplicants will all rotate through core rotations in Cardiology Ward and Coronary Care UnitWhat You'll GainStrong understanding of cardiac and thoracic diseaseAdvanced assessment and acute cardiac care skillsConfidence managing pharmaceutical, interventional, and surgical treatmentsAbility to evaluate therapeutic outcomes and apply evidence based practiceA pathway toward postgraduate cardiac nursing studiesRegistered Nurses with 12+ months acute care experience who are ready to grow into secure, independent cardiac clinicians.For more information,
