Therapeutic Case Manager | QPS Embedded WorkerWhitsunday Counselling & Support Inc – Whitsundays QLDDomestic & Family Violence Therapeutic Case Manager (Embedded Police Role)Bowen / Cannonvale, QLD | Relocation Support AvailableWhitsunday Counselling and Support Inc. is the region's leading specialist domestic and family violence service, supporting individuals, families, and communities across the Whitsundays for over 30 years.We are seeking a passionate and experienced Therapeutic Case Manager / DFV Embedded Worker to join our team, working closely with the Queensland Police Service to provide early intervention, crisis support, and therapeutic responses to people impacted by domestic and family violence.About the RoleThis is a unique and highly rewarding role, combining:Therapeutic counsellingCase managementAdvocacy and court supportMulti‐agency collaborationYou will be based across Bowen and Cannonvale, including work within local police stations, delivering frontline responses and ongoing support to individuals and families impacted by domestic and family violence or sexual violence.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide trauma‐informed counselling and therapeutic supportConduct risk assessment, safety planning, and case managementSupport clients through court processes and legal pathwaysWork alongside Queensland Police and partner agenciesDeliver community education and awareness initiativesMaintain compliant, accurate case notes and client recordsContribute to a child‐focused,



culturally safe and strengths‐based practiceAbout YouWe are looking for someone who is:Experienced in domestic and family violence and/or trauma‐informed practiceConfident working with high‐risk and complex clientsSkilled in risk assessment and safety planningA strong communicator who can build trust and engagementPassionate about advocacy, empowerment, and client outcomesQualifications & ExperienceDiploma in Counselling (minimum)Degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field (desirable)Minimum 2 years' experience working in DFV or similar fieldEligibility for AASW / ACA / APS membership (desirable)Current QLD Blue Card (essential)Why Join Us?
