City Venue Management is seeking an experienced and motivated Operations Manager to join the leadership team at Jindalee Pool.
This is an exciting chance for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about aquatic safety, team development and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
Working closely with the Facility Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day leadership of the venue, ensuring our facility operates safely, efficiently and to the highest standard.
What You'll Be Doing
As Operations Manager, you'll be a visible and active leader across the facility, supporting staff, engaging with patrons and ensuring operational excellence across all areas of the venue.
Your responsibilities will include:
Overseeing pool plant operations, daily checks, and water quality managementLeading lifeguards and duty managers and supporting all staff as part of the leadership teamMonitoring aquatic supervision standards and ensuring safe supervision modesSupporting the Facility Manager with rostering and administrative tasksKeeping the venue clean, organised and presented to a high standardResponding to first aid needs and emergency situations with confidenceAssisting with customer enquiries,



complaints and general patron supportSupporting sales activity across Learn To Swim, squads, and membershipsHelping run staff training sessions across aquatic safety, customer service, and pool plant
About You
You're an energetic and capable leader who enjoys being on the pool deck, supporting your team and solving problems in real time.
You lead by example, communicate effectively and take pride in delivering outstanding facility standards.
To be successful in this role, you'll bring:
Availability to work at least 1 day at the weekend across opens and closesA strong understanding of lifeguarding, supervision requirements, and aquatic safetySolid knowledge of pool plant operations including troubleshooting and corrective actionThe ability to work across lifeguarding, duty management, and leadership responsibilities as neededConfident communication skills and the ability to work positively with staff, patrons, schools and community groupsExcellent time management and the ability to stay organised in a fast-paced environmentPrevious aquatic or leisure facility experience is preferred

Blue Card (Working with Children Check)Current CPR CertificateCurrent First Aid CertificatePool Lifeguard Certificate
Highly Regarded
Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety QualificationPrevious Duty Manager or Operations leadership experience
