Hands Engineering is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team in Cardiff NSW.
This is a full time position offering an exciting opportunity to work with precision machinery and contribute to the delivery of high-quality engineering solutions.
As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining computer numerical control (CNC) machines, ensuring components are manufactured to exact specifications and quality standards.
This role is fundamental to our production operations and directly impacts the success of our projects and client satisfaction.Key responsibilitiesOperating Fagor and Heidenhain CNC-controlled machines to manufacture precision components in accordance with technical drawings, engineering specifications, and quality standards.Setting up machines, including tool changes, calibration and program verification prior to production runsMonitoring machine performance during operations and making adjustments to maintain quality and efficiencyInspecting finished components using precision measuring tools to ensure they meet required tolerances and quality standardsTroubleshooting machine problems and identifying solutions or escalating issues to senior technicians when requiredFollowing all workplace health and safety procedures and protocols to maintain a safe working environmentWhat we're looking forProven experience operating CNC machines in a manufacturing or engineering environmentStrong understanding of technical drawings, blueprints and engineering specificationsProblem-solving mindset with the ability to identify and resolve production issues independentlyStrong health and safety awareness and commitment to following workplace proceduresExcellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with colleaguesRelevant trade qualifications or certifications in CNC machining or a related trade are highly valuedExperience with GIBBS CAM software or G-code programming would be advantageousWhat we offerAt Hands Engineering, we are committed to supporting the professional development and wellbeing of our team members.
