I'm currently partnering with one of my clients to find an experienced Server & Network Infrastructure Engineer to join a large enterprise technology team on an initial 12 month contract based in Sydney.
This is a true infrastructure role and applicants must have hands on experience supporting both server and network environments.
Candidates with experience in only one discipline will not be considered.
What you'll be doing
Administering and supporting VMware virtual environments, including ESXi and vCenterManaging Hypervisor infrastructure to ensure high availability and performanceSupporting Linux and Windows Server environmentsAdministering Active Directory, including Group Policy, DNS and DHCPConfiguring, maintaining and troubleshooting Cisco network infrastructure, including switches and routersSupporting LAN/WAN connectivity, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and VLANs across enterprise environmentsMonitoring, maintaining and optimising both server and network infrastructure to ensure high availabilityPerforming upgrades, patching, maintenance and troubleshooting across the infrastructure setting
Essential experience
Proven commercial experience supporting both server and network infrastructure is essentialStrong VMware administration experience, including ESXi and vCenterExperience with Hypervisor technologiesStrong Linux administration skillsWindows Server and Active Directory administration experienceHands on Cisco networking experience, including switching and routingSolid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP,



VLANs and enterprise networking conceptsStrong troubleshooting skills across both server and network technologiesExcellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a technical team
