This role will be located in the Newcastle region, working across key projects within our operations, including civil and mining infrastructure projects.
This is a diverse, challenging and autonomous role that would offer a fantastic next step in career progression.What we have on offer:Fully maintained company vehicleSupportive and inclusive teamCompetitive pay and benefits packageSalary packaging available – pay less taxEmployee wellbeing programs and initiatives – Fitness passport, discount on gym memberships and health insuranceOngoing career development – grow your skills and elevate your career across various operations, all under the stability of one employerKey responsibilities:Working with our Site Engineering and Supervisory Team for the management of Civil Projects which means coordinating engineering activities to ensure that projects are implemented in accordance with plans, designs and specificationsManaging work and performance of subcontractors to achieve outcomes and utilise effective time management skills including sequencing of work and resource time managementDevelop and manage project specific documentationShort term construction program management and complianceEnsuring quality documentation is captured and compliantTo be considered for this role you will:Ideally be a Degree Qualified Civil EngineerIdeally have 4-5 years experienceHave overall proven engineering experience with the delivery of TfNSW bridge works and specificationsBe able to procure and engage with key suppliers in the management of scheduling and deliveries with the ability to work through constructability issues on siteBe experienced with the employment of different formwork systems, including temporary worksBe fully conversant with use of ready-mix concrete, including pumping, placement and curing – ideally holding B80 concrete grey card training.Be able to engage, plan and execute major crane works and "heavy lifting"Have sound organisational skills in order to be able to manage your time and plan effectively in a quick paced, diverse and changing environmentHave demonstrated ability to program and organise the worksHave the ability to follow budgets, track and report the costs of the worksHave exceptional communication skills, in particular your ability to negotiate and influence othersHave the ability to work with the team to meet key project milestones and deliverablesHave confidence in your decision making ability, problem solve and act accordinglyHave the ability to coach and mentor less experienced team members to assist in their development and transfer of your skills and expertiseBe a safety leader who is able to use your experience to uphold our safety culture and valuesIdeally have proven experience on design and construct projectsIdeally you would live in the local area, however we would be open to considering applicants from further afield.
