In this role, you will provide safe, respectful and timely transport services for our patients attending medical appointments locally and out of town.
You will be an important part of supporting patient access to health care and representing BACHS positively in the community.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide safe and courteous transport for patients to and from medical and specialist appointmentsAssist patients with mobility needs, entering and exiting vehicles safelyMaintain vehicle cleanliness, roadworthiness and daily safety checksKeep accurate transport logs, mileage, and relevant documentationCommunicate effectively with clinic staff regarding patient schedules and changesUphold confidentiality, cultural safety, and professionalism at all timesFollow all BACHS procedures, safety standards and NSW road rulesAbout YouTo be successful in this role, you will have:A current NSW Driver's Licence (minimum Class C)Good driving record and confidence driving long distancesStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work flexibly and reliably on a casual rosterCommitment to providing culturally appropriate and respectful serviceHigh level of reliability, patience, and professionalismCapacity to work independently and manage time effectivelyDesirable:First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)Experience working with Aboriginal communitiesPrevious driving/transport or support services experienceWhat We OfferSupportive and community-focused workplaceOpportunity to contribute to improved health outcomesTraining and development opportunitiesSalary based on the Health Services Award + applicable allowances
