Fabrication & Production AssistantBasic TrailersPooraka, Adelaide SATrades & Services → LabourersFull TimeAbout Basic TrailersBasic Trailers is a proudly Australian-owned trailer manufacturer building high-quality trailers right here in Adelaide.We're a rapid-paced manufacturing business that values teamwork, organisation and taking pride in producing quality Australian-made trailers.As we continue to grow, we're looking for practical, reliable people to join our production team and help keep our manufacturing operation running efficiently.About the RoleThis is a varied, hands‐on role supporting all areas of our manufacturing operation.Depending on your skills, experience and the needs of the business, you may assist with fabrication, assembly, fit‐out, forklift operation, logistics, production support and general workshop duties.Some employees spend most of their time building trailers, while others also assist with keeping production organised, maintaining production systems and supporting day‐to‐day workshop operations.You'll have the opportunity to learn new skills, work across different areas of the business and continue developing over time.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with fabrication, assembly and trailer fit-outOperate hand tools, power tools and workshop equipmentPrepare materials and support fabrication teamsLoad, unload and move trailers and materials throughout the workshop and yardOperate forklifts where licensedAssist with workshop organisation, housekeeping and material flowFollow job cards,



work instructions and production processesSupport production activities to help keep work flowing efficientlyAssist with production records, systems and operational support activities where requiredIdentify and action day‐to‐day improvements that help keep the workshop organised and productiveWhat We're Looking ForWe're looking for practical people who enjoy working as part of a team and take pride in getting the job done properly.You'll ideally have experience working in manufacturing, fabrication, production, logistics or a workshop environment.You'll also have:A practical, hands‐on attitudeGood organisational skillsAbility to follow instructions and work safelyPhysically fit and willing to work across different areas of the workshopReliable with a strong work ethicWillingness to learn and develop new skillsHighly RegardedForklift licenceWelding or fabrication experienceExperience using production or inventory systemsConfidence using computers, including Microsoft Outlook and ExcelDon't worry if you don't have every skill listed above.
