Reporting to the Service Manager, this hands-on role supports our tradespeople across day-to-day workshop operations and provides rare exposure to industry-leading earthmoving equipment.This is an excellent entry point for Light Vehicle Mechanics wanting to transition into Heavy Diesel.
For the right candidate, we offer structured training, OEM-led learning, and genuine upskilling pathways into a Heavy Diesel Mechanic position.Key responsibilities include:Assist qualified tradespeople with repairs, maintenance, and equipment setupsSupport work scheduling, job preparation, and basic documentationHandle materials, tooling, and workshop equipment safelyPerform general housekeeping to maintain a safe and organised workspaceComplete required reports and paperwork in a timely mannerAssist with servicing and maintaining rental fleet equipment under guidanceWhat we're looking for:Previous experience as a Trades Assistant or a qualified Light Vehicle mechanic with a strong interest in progressing toward Heavy Diesel QualificationsPrevious hand and power tooling experienceStrong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learnAbility to work autonomously and within a teamExcellent interpersonal,
