With experience across multiple jurisdictions and sectors, the team helps clients manage risk, leverage opportunity, and optimise IP assets in Australia and worldwide.About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Part-Time Accounts and Office Manager to look after the firm's day-to-day financial administration on a part-time basis.
The role can be based in either Sydney, Melbourne or Sunshine Coast.The role covers bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable, trust accounting, reconciliations, financial reporting, liaison with international associates and associated administration.
You will work closely with the Principal, Operations Manager and our lawyers, supporting them day to day as a valued member of the team.Key ResponsibilitiesManage day-to-day bookkeeping, including bank and multi-currency reconciliationsOversee accounts payable and receivable,



including invoicing and debtor follow-upWork closely with and provide day-to-day support to the firm's lawyers as part of the teamOperate and maintain the firm's trust account in accordance with legal profession trust accounting rules (where experienced)Prepare financial reports and support budgeting and financial trackingLiaise with international associate firms on invoicing and foreign currency mattersMonitor currency fluctuations and manage multi-currency transactionsSupport the preparation / lodgments of Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Instalment Activity Statements (IAS)Support preparation of client fee estimates and cost disclosure documentationContribute ideas for streamlining financial processes and systemsAdministrative financial support to the Principal as requiredSkills and ExperienceProven experience in an accounts or bookkeeping role, ideally within a law firm or qualified services environmentTrust accounting experience highly regardedRegistered BAS Agent preferred, or working towards registration – not a requirement of the roleExperience with multi-currency transactions and international invoicing an advantageProficient in cloud accounting software (e.g. Xero)Strong attention to detail and reconciliation accuracyClear written and verbal communication skillsAble to work independently and manage competing deadlines
