You will provide person-centred support that promotes independence, choice, and participation in everyday life.
The role involves building positive relationships, assisting with daily routines, and supporting the participant to achieve their individual goals in a safe and respectful environment.The successful candidate will be confident in providing support for:Supporting a participant living with Bihemispheric Posterior Circulation Brainstem CVA and Multiple Sclerosis (MS).
Manual handling and mobility support requirements.Medication administration in accordance with policies and procedures.Dysphagia management and safe mealtime support practices.Diabetes management and monitoring.Incontinence care and personal support.Community access, therapy attendance, and support with medical appointments.Maintaining participant choice, control, dignity, and continuity of care at all times.Shifts may include:Afternoon shiftsPassive sleepover shiftsActive awake overnight shiftsAvailability across a variety of shift types will be highly regarded.This is a rewarding prospect for a compassionate and reliable support worker who enjoys making a meaningful difference in the lives of people with disability.
