sort and scan freight ready for dispatch and deliveryComplete pre-start forklift inspections and report any faults or maintenance requirementsAccurately handle freight while minimising damage and ensuring load stabilityFollow safe work procedures, chain of responsibility requirements and company policiesAssist with freight receivals, inventory control and general warehouse dutiesWork closely with drivers, warehouse staff and operations teams to ensure on-time freight movementsMaintain a clean, organised and safe work environmentDeliver high standards of safety, accuracy and customer service in all daily operationsWhat You'll Bring:Current High Risk Work Licence - LF (Forklift Licence) (essential)Demonstrated experience operating forklifts within a freight, transport, warehouse or logistics environmentExperience loading and unloading palletised freight safely and efficientlyStrong commitment to workplace safety and compliance with company proceduresAbility to accurately handle, stack and move freight while minimising damageGood communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a teamAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing prioritiesConfidence using scanners, warehouse management systems (WMS) or freight systems (desirable)A reliable, professional attitude with a solid work ethicPrevious experience in general freight, transport or logistics operations (highly regarded)As part of the recruitment process, we'll be running Assessment Days that include a face-to-face interview and safety assessments.
If successful, you'll also need to complete a pre-employment medical, including a functional capacity assessment, drug and alcohol screen, and audio review.
