You will have a desire to inspire and lead people, achieving team outcomes in a fast paced and challenging team environment.The RoleAs our Nursery Team Leader, you will oversee plant propagation planning and scheduling and lead a team of support staff and nursery hands living with a disability.
You will be part of a agile team that has a positive impact on clients and communities.Supervise, support and work with other disability support staff,
accommodating workflows while still being willing to make decisions and provide direction where needed including running regular check-ins and meetingsOversee plant propagation planning and scheduling including monitoring stock levels and quality controlSupervise plant nutrition, the treatment of plant pests and diseases and oversee stock maintenanceSupervise the ordering and purchase of product inputs while adhering to budget allocations,Hands‐on support role including assisting participants with personal care and managing challenging behavioursSupervision of the handling of shift notes, progress notes and monitoring the progress of participant goals and the effectiveness of their supportsBe active in advocating the rights of people with a disabilityCommunicating with team members, family members, advocates and other support servicesEnsure risk and health and safety policies, procedures, regulations and legislation are adhered to including maintaining nursery quarterly safety checklist, material safety data sheets & safe work method statements.Ensure that supports are provided in accordance with the National Disability Service Standards, NDIS Code of Conduct and other relevant legislationSupervising the orientation and induction of new employees, volunteers and work experience placementsExplore new markets and liaise regularly with existing customers, packing and delivering orders, sometimes using your own vehicleAssist manager with admin duties such as banking.up to 45 hours per fortnightRoster: Tuesdays 8.00am4.30pm (Week1), 8.00am4.30pm (Week 1 & 2) & Fridays 8.00am3.30pm (Week*******am4.30pm (Week2)Level 4 SCHADS Award.
