We're recruiting a Financial Controller / Finance Manager for the Australian subsidiary of a globally listed French industrial group operating across 40+ countries, delivering high-value engineering and construction projects with a growing pipeline and an upcoming statutory audit.This is a standalone, hands‐on finance role suited to someone with around 5–8 years of experience who's ready to run a finance function on their own, not a large team to manage, but full ownership and autonomy.
You'll be the most senior finance person on the ground in Australia, reporting directly to the APAC Regional CFO.Base location: Brisbane (hybrid, with some travel to the Townsville office).
What You'll Be DoingPreparing monthly and annual financial statements; managing year‐end close with external accountantsLeading annual budgets, 3‐year forecasts, and monthly Group reporting submissionsRunning variance analysis and delivering clear financial commentary to the MD and Regional CFOOverseeing cash flow, banking relationships, and working capitalCoordinating the upcoming statutory audit and ensuring Australian complianceDriving the transition from Xero to a more robust ERP as the business growsPartnering with operations on cost control, project financials,
