We are partnering with a well-established and growing network security consultancy seeking a Mid-Level Network & Security Engineer to join its Network Operations Centre (NOC).
You'll join a highly skilled engineering team supporting critical customer infrastructure and gain exposure to industry-leading technologies including Cisco, Fortinet, SolarWinds, PRTG and F5.The RoleWorking within a shift-based NOC workplace (on call once every 5 - 6 weeks), you will be responsible for monitoring, supporting and maintaining customer network and security infrastructure while ensuring incidents, requests and changes are delivered within agreed service levels during standard working hours.Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor customer environments using platforms such as SolarWinds and PRTGTriage and resolve incidents, alarms and service requestsManage tickets through to resolution, including escalation where requiredImplement approved network and security changesParticipate in after-hours maintenance activities and on-call supportMaintain operational documentation,



runbooks and knowledge articlesPerform detailed shift handovers and reportingContribute to service improvement initiativesSupport solution deployments and technology transitions into productionBuild strong relationships with customers and stakeholdersAbout YouYou are a motivated engineer who enjoys troubleshooting complex issues and thrives in a fast-paced operational environment.2-4 years' experience supporting network and security infrastructureExperience gained within a NOC, MSP, enterprise operations or technical support environmentHands-on exposure to firewall technologies, ideally Fortinet FortiGateExperience supporting routing and switching environmentsKnowledge of ITIL Incident, Change and Problem Management processesExperience using monitoring and ticketing platformsCisco CCNA certification or equivalent practical networking experienceAbility to work a rotating shift roster and participate in an on-call rotationHighly DesirableFortinet FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer or FortiAuthenticatorCisco Catalyst, Nexus, ASR and Wireless technologiesCisco DNAC and SDA environmentsSolarWinds, PRTG and ServiceNowMPLS and SD-WANCisco Voice and Unified CommunicationsScripting and automation experienceFortinet NSE certificationsThis organisation is committed to investing in its people and offers structured career development and technical trainingDaily rate: $600-$680pd inc superWho Will Succeed?
