genU is looking for Overnight Sleep - Support Worker who can team up with our customers to help them unleash their full potential.
You will be making a real impact by helping people with disabilities through accommodation and group engagement.The Employer considers that being female is a genuine occupational qualification for this position under Section 27 (2), (c), (e) and (g) of the Equal Opportunity Act ****.These are overnight sleep rosters of 7 shifts @ ***** hrs per fortnight.
Please review the roster included before applying.Support person-centred plans that identify a customer's life goals and working to achieve them;Support customers in daily living skills such as meal preparation, housekeeping, showering and toileting and medication administration;Ensure positive behaviour support plans are followed; andAdministration duties and mandatory reportingWhat you'll bringExperience in supporting customers with behavioural support plans;Experience working with challenging behaviours - desirable;An understanding and enthusiasm for working alongside people with disabilities;Ability to manage complex or difficult situations as they arise with patience and maturity;Previous experience with medication administration;Willingness to assist with personal care and domestic duties experience;Cert III in Disability, Individual Support or higher (or working towards one) is desirable;A valid drivers licence and willingness to use your private vehicle (aligned with genU motor vehicle allowance rebate).
