We are rapidly building a reputation for growth and success based on an exceptional YES WE CAN customer service offering and quality products in the highly competitive market.DescriptionAbout The RolePosition will be based out of Kwinana (2 days/wk) and Welshpool (3days/wk)You will be expected to travel 2-5 days per monthState based responsibility managing 11 sites, fleet of over 45 vehicles, company drivers & contractorsDrive efficiencies & productivity benefitsSkills and ExperiencesRoles And ResponsibilitiesEnsure a safe workplace for all staff, visitors and customers reporting all risks / hazards / incidents / near misses and accidentsActively participate and facilitate safety risk assessments including Ready for Start-up Review (RFSR), HAZOP, MOC, HAZID and Design reviewsResponsible for implementing the roll out of Industrial Gas Cylinders across the WA Branch and Dealer/Agent network.Analyzing the cylinder distribution network, recommending and implementing transport efficiencies and cost savings for both LPG and Industrial Gas deliveries across WA.Support the integration of the Welshpool, Kwinana (DRD) and Regional Branches/Depots to ensure best practice distribution processes are in place.Support the Transport Operations Manager and Branch Managers in managing the commercial arrangements and operational activities for all Cylinder LPG and Industrial Gas Distribution contractors,
ensuring contracts are current and rates are reviewed in line with contractual obligationsWork closely with Sales and the Operations team to develop sales strategies that can expand market share and/or margins that leverage existing customer delivery schedulesLead a proactive approach with the Sales team to identify key impediments to delivery efficiency and work with all areas to resolve these issues.Actively participate in the preparation of budgets and other company reviews as required.Provide reports as required on Cylinder Transport Operations while reviewing and enhancing the reporting processes.Assist in the Identification, evaluation, implementation and maintaining of existing and current operational technologiesManagement of cylinder transport projects as required.Lead the team in developing a commercial focus for all distribution activities including using key data to drive commercial improvementsPreferred SkillsMinimum 5 years' experience in the LPG / Industrial Gas/ Petroleum industries OR substantial experience in control of Logistics or Transport.
