This role is essential to maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and food safety within our bakery manufacturing operation.
You will be responsible for ensuring that all production equipment, facilities, and work areas meet strict health and safety regulations, enabling our team to produce quality products safely and efficiently.
This position plays a critical role in protecting our reputation and ensuring compliance with food safety standards.What you'll be doingCleaning and sanitising all bakery production equipment, including mixers, ovens, conveyor belts, and packaging machineryPerforming deep cleaning of production floors, walls, and surfaces using approved industrial cleaning methods and chemicalsInspecting equipment and facilities to identify maintenance issues and report them to managementFollowing established cleaning schedules and protocols to ensure consistent hygiene standards across all areasPreparing and maintaining cleaning solutions at correct concentrations for different surfaces and equipmentRemoving waste and ensuring proper disposal of cleaning materials in accordance with environmental regulationsOperating industrial cleaning equipment such as pressure washers and steam cleaners safely and effectivelyMaintaining detailed cleaning records and documentation as required by food safety auditsWorking collaboratively with production staff to minimise disruption to manufacturing schedulesAdhering to all health and safety regulations,



including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)What we're looking forProven experience in industrial cleaning, preferably within food manufacturing or bakery environmentsKnowledge of food safety and hygiene standards, including HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) principlesFamiliarity with industrial cleaning equipment and the safe use of cleaning chemicalsStrong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standardsAbility to work independently and follow detailed cleaning protocols and schedulesPhysical fitness and ability to perform repetitive tasks, work at heights if required, and lift heavy itemsExcellent time management and ability to work efficiently to meet cleaning deadlinesReliable and punctual with a strong work ethicCommunication skills and ability to work as part of a teamExperience with cleaning validation and auditing procedures is highly desirableAbout usPasticceria Papa is a respected bakery manufacturing company committed to producing authentic, high-quality baked goods.
