We are recruiting for a well-established Brisbane-based electrical engineering and repair business specialising in the overhaul, repair and refurbishment of AC/DC electric motors and rotating equipment.This is a permanent workshop-based opportunity offering long-term stability, Monday-to-Friday hours and the chance to work across a diverse range of industrial equipment.Interstate candidates are strongly encouraged to apply, with relocation assistance available for the right person.The RoleWorking within an established electrical workshop, your responsibilities will include:Stripping, inspecting and assessing AC and DC electric motorsOverhauling, repairing and rebuilding electric motorsCapturing and recording accurate winding dataLow-voltage AC motor rewindingRewinding stators, rotors, armatures and field framesWorking with formed-coil and random-wound motorsTesting motor windings and identifying electrical faultsUsing electrical test equipment to diagnose faultsReading wiring diagrams, drawings and specificationsCompleting incoming electrical testing and recording resultsWashing, baking, varnishing and curing windingsPreparing stators, rotors and armatures for rewindingMotor assembly,



testing and preparation for dispatchProviding technical support to other workshop team membersMaintaining a strong focus on quality and safetyAbout YouWe are particularly interested in candidates who have worked within an electric motor repair, motor rewinding, rotating equipment, generator, pump or electrical machine repair workshop.Australian-recognised Electrical Fitter or relevant electrical trade qualificationPrevious AC and/or DC motor overhaul experienceElectric motor repair or rewinding experienceKnowledge of stators, rotors, armatures and motor windingsStrong electrical fault-finding and testing skillsAbility to read electrical drawings and wiring diagramsHigh attention to detailAbility to work independently and as part of a workshop teamStrong commitment to safety and qualityExperience with formed coils, random winding, armature winding, VPI/varnishing or larger industrial motors will be highly regarded.What's On Offer?
