You will have the opportunity to shape and develop our food operation, create menus that appeal to our members and guests, build a high-performing kitchen team and help establish Yass Soldiers Club as a destination for outstanding food.You will be responsible for:Leading, mentoring and developing the kitchen teamThe day-to-day management of the kitchen across lunch and dinnerManaging takeaway and delivery food operationsPlanning and executing menus for functions, events and special occasionsMaintaining consistently high standards of food quality, presentation and serviceDeveloping creative and commercially successful menus and specialsManaging food costs, GP, wastage, ordering and stock controlEnsuring effective kitchen rostering and labour managementMaintaining strict food safety, hygiene and WHS standardsWorking closely with the General Manager and management team to grow the Club's food businessDriving innovation and continuously improving kitchen systems and processesEnsuring the kitchen delivers an exceptional experience for our members and guestsWhat We're Looking ForWe are seeking a chef who is both a strong leader and a hands-on operator.You will ideally have:Proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive ChefStrong commercial kitchen and menu management experienceExperience managing high-volume hospitality operationsExperience with functions and event cateringExcellent food preparation and presentation skillsStrong understanding of food costing, GP, stock control and wastageProven ability to lead, motivate and develop a kitchen teamExcellent organisational and time-management skillsA strong understanding of food safety and HACCP principlesThe ability to remain calm and organised in a fast-paced environmentA genuine passion for hospitality and delivering great foodRelevant culinary qualifications and Food Safety Supervisor certificationWhy Join Yass Soldiers Club?
