Following the retirement of a long-standing leader, they are looking for an experienced Maintenance Manager to take ownership of their maintenance function and continue the site's journey towards world-class reliability.This isn't a role where you'll inherit a polished system.
You'll have the opportunity to rebuild and strengthen preventative maintenance programs, improve equipment reliability and lead a small, capable maintenance team while remaining close to the day-to-day operation.You will play a key role in supporting production, driving continuous improvement and ensuring the site operates safely and efficiently.The ideal candidate will have a trades qualification and will have worked as a Fitter, Electrician or have been hands on at some point in ther career.The RoleYour focus will be on creating a proactive maintenance culture rather than simply responding to breakdowns.Key responsibilities include:Leading and developing a small maintenance team consisting of electricians and mechanical tradesReviewing, rebuilding and continuously improving the preventative maintenance strategyManaging reactive maintenance and coordinating breakdown response to minimise production downtimeDriving reliability improvements and identifying opportunities to improve equipment performanceManaging maintenance budgets, contractors and spare parts inventorySupporting capital projects,



equipment upgrades and installation activitiesOverseeing site facilities, contractor management and essential servicesPromoting Lean manufacturing principles, 5S and continuous improvement initiativesEnsuring compliance with safety, statutory and maintenance requirementsAbout YouWe're looking for a practical maintenance leader who enjoys being on the factory floor and working alongside their team.You'll ideally bring:Experience leading maintenance within a manufacturing environment - Industrial / FMCGHands-on experience in maintenance ie.
Trade Qualified (Mechanical/Electrical etc)A robust background and proven experiencedeveloping and improving preventative maintenance systems is a must have!
Hands-on technical capability with mechanical and/or electrical equipmentPrevious leadership experience, whether leading a small team or larger maintenance functionExperience managing contractors, maintenance planning and maintenance budgetsA continuous improvement mindset with exposure to Lean manufacturingStrong communication skills and the ability to build credibility with production and operations teamsSix Degrees Executive acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which we work and live.
