Delivering both quality temporary and permanent options, we specialise in the recruitment of Engineering, Technical and Office Support talent.We are currently seeking an experienced Portfolio Management professional to join a Sustaining Capital Projects team within a major mining operation.This is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing a portfolio of sustaining capital projects from inception through to execution, commissioning and handover, with responsibility for approximately $20M-$40M in annual project spend.The successful candidate will be a proactive, high-energy project professional with robust commercial awareness, excellent leadership capability and a genuine ownership mentality toward project delivery.Previous Tier 1 client-side mining experience is mandatory for this position.The Opportunity Reporting directly to the Superintendent - Sustaining Capital Projects, you will provide leadership across project delivery, portfolio performance, financial management and team development.You will manage approximately six direct reports and maintain oversight of project performance, expenditure, risk and delivery across the portfolio.A major focus will be ensuring monthly project expenditure aligns with annual capital budgets, identifying risks early and proactively managing project timing and expenditure to achieve financial year targets.Key ResponsibilitiesManage a portfolio of sustaining capital projects across the full lifecycle from inception through to handoverLead,



mentor and manage approximately six direct reportsOversee approximately $20M-$40M in annual capital expenditureManage portfolio budgets, forecasts, commitments and monthly expenditureBalance monthly portfolio spend against annual financial year targetsIdentify potential underspend or overspend early and implement corrective actionsBring expenditure forward or defer project spend where appropriate to optimise annual portfolio performanceMaintain accurate forecasting and provide clear visibility of portfolio performancePresent project submissions, updates and recommendations to site Investment Committees on behalf of Project ManagersProvide governance and oversight across project scope, cost, schedule, risk and executionSupport Project Managers and Project Engineers with complex delivery issuesDrive a strong safety, accountability and performance culture across the teamIdentify project and portfolio risks early and proactively drive mitigation strategiesSupport commissioning,
