Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to positive surgical outcomes while maintaining the highest standards of clinical practice.Key responsibilities include:Providing expert scrub and scout nursing care across a variety of surgical proceduresDelivering holistic, patient-centred care with consideration for physical, emotional, and individual patient needsMaintaining compliance with infection control standards, clinical policies, and safety protocolsWorking collaboratively with surgeons, anaesthetists, and perioperative colleagues to support seamless theatre workflowsContributing to quality improvement initiatives and promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvementSupporting a positive team environment that reflects Mater's Mission, Values,



and commitment to excellenceAbout youYou are a confident and capable perioperative nurse with a strong foundation in scrub and scout practice, who enjoys working in a fast-paced theatre setting and takes pride in delivering high-quality patient care.You will bring:Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered NurseA minimum of four years' post-graduate experience working as a scrub/scout Registered NurseDemonstrated ability to practice independently within the perioperative environmentStrong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across disciplinesA commitment to patient safety, professional standards, and ongoing learning and developmentMater is Queensland's largest not-for-profit healthcare provider, delivering exceptional care to nearly 700,000 patients each year across 11 (soon to be 12) hospitals.
