Our client is a well established manufacturing and packaging business that has recently relocated to a new, purpose built facility in Truganina.They are now looking for an experienced Warehouse Manager to lead their warehouse operations and drive continuous improvement across processes as the site beds in.This is a great opportunity for a hands on leader who enjoys building better systems and wants to make their mark in a newly set up facility.The RoleReporting to senior management, you will be responsible for the day to day running of the warehouse, including inventory control, dispatch, receiving, and space utilisation.
You will lead a team of warehouse staff, as well as a small team of Admin/Customer Service staff, ensuring safety, productivity, and accuracy are front and centre at all times.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee all warehouse operations including inbound and outbound logistics, stock control, and order fulfilmentLead, coach, and manage a team of warehouse operators, setting clear expectations and KPIsOversee a small team of Admin/Customer Service staff, ensuring smooth order processing and customer communicationIdentify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste,
and optimise workflows within the new facilityManage inventory accuracy through regular stocktakes and cycle countsEnsure compliance with WHS regulations and maintain a strong safety cultureDevelop and refine SOPs suited to the new site layout and equipmentCoordinate with production, planning, and supply chain teams to ensure smooth operational flowManage warehouse equipment, including forklifts and MHE, ensuring proper maintenance and utilisationMonitor and report on warehouse KPIs, including productivity, accuracy, and cost controlSupport the ongoing optimisation of the new site as processes and layouts continue to evolveAbout YouProven experience as a Warehouse Manager or similar leadership role within a manufacturing, FMCG, or distribution environmentExperience managing cross functional teams, including admin or customer service staff, is highly regardedStrong track record of driving process improvement and operational efficiencySolid understanding of WHS requirements and inventory management systemsExcellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate a teamForklift licence highly regardedExperience with WMS or ERP systems advantageousWhat's on OfferJoin a business at an exciting stage as they settle into a brand new siteGenuine prospect to shape and improve warehouse processes from the ground upSupportive leadership team and long term career growth potential
