Job Description
Western Sydney Formwork The successful candidate will work across various construction projects throughout Sydney and will be responsible for carrying out formwork carpentry to a high standard, working effectively as part of our construction team and ensuring all work is completed safely and in accordance with project specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Reading and interpreting construction plans, drawings and specifications
Measuring, cutting, assembling and installing timber and other formwork systems
Constructing formwork for concrete structures, including walls, columns, slabs, beams and other structural elements
Setting out and preparing formwork in accordance with project plans and specifications
Erecting, installing and dismantling formwork systems
Ensuring formwork is correctly aligned, levelled, supported and secured prior to concrete placement
Using hand tools,



power tools and other carpentry equipment safely and effectively
Inspecting completed work to ensure required measurements, tolerances and quality standards are achieved
Working collaboratively with supervisors, tradespeople and other site personnel
Maintaining tools, equipment and work areas in a safe and serviceable condition
Complying with workplace health and safety requirements and site procedures at all times
Skills and Experience
Demonstrated 3-4 years of work experience working as a Formwork Carpenter
Robust practical knowledge of formwork carpentry and construction techniques
Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings and specifications
Experience constructing and installing formwork for concrete structures
Good knowledge of construction site safety requirements
