We are seeking a motivated Mining Engineer / Civil Engineer to join our Technical Services team at Rix's Creek.
This role will focus on mine planning, drill and blast activities and production scheduling.Benefits of working with usCompetitive salary package including incentive scheme and vehicle option6 weeks annual leave and 15 days personal leaveSupportive Paid Parental Leave packagesEducational leave and financial assistance for approved studyDiscounted gym membershipCash-out personal leave optionsAbout the RoleWorking across operations, you will play a key role in optimising blast performance, improving production outcomes, and contributing to safe, efficient and cost-effective mining operations.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement drilling, initiation and blast designs in a technically complex environmentAnalyse drilling, loading and blast data to optimise performance and identify improvement opportunitiesConduct post-blast assessments including fragmentation, dig ability and wall performanceCoordinate and schedule drill and blast activities in line with production requirementsProvide technical advice on blast performance, cost impacts and risk mitigationDevelop and communicate short- and medium-term production plansDesign and schedule mining activities including dig sequences, haul roads and dump plansEnsure quality control of production statistics in PulseProvide production reports on daily, weekly, yearly and as needed basisSupport planning processes including weekly meetings and production reportingContribute to continuous improvement initiatives in production, data capture and reportingCollaborate with operations,
maintenance and technical teams to deliver safe and efficient outcomesAbout YouTertiary qualification in Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering, or similar.Experience in mine planning (minimum 3 years)Experience with mining and/or civil engineering software (e.g. ShotPlus, Vulcan, Spry)Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skillsAbility to work collaboratively in a agile operational environmentPlease note this is a site‐based role working Monday to Friday.
The role will primarily be based in Singleton, with travel required across our Hunter Valley operations.
