Chandler Macleod is seeking expressions of interest for a number of exciting opportunities available for Gas Meter Readers to join the amazing team in the Melbourne Metro area.No previous experience required – training will be provided.Previous experience being on your feet in physical roles will be very beneficial.The purpose of the Gas Meter Readers is to read electric, gas or water meters, record usage, inspect meters and connections for defects and damage, and report irregularities.What we are Looking forCan work independentlyEnjoys working outdoors (rain, hail, or shine)ASAP startLoves fitness and has a good physical ability to walk long hours (30km a day)Able to meet strict deadlinesHighly focused on safety with a high level of attention to detailOn time and reliableValid drivers licence and access to carHighly committed and motivatedResponsibilities and Key DeliverablesSafely Navigate properties to gas meter location, avoiding hazards onsite & update hazard information for future meter readersReport all encounters of gas meter leaks, damaged, vandalized, and unsafe meter installations,



tampering with meters & address errorEntry properties to read installed gas meters & leaving the property in the state it was foundEnsure all dealings with the public are skilled & politeEnsure a high standard of personal presentation at all times & ensure to wear the supplied PPEAccurately read meters for gas distributor services on behalf of gas retailers & fulfill contracted duties dailyOccasionally complete car-based routes that require driving onto properties to obtain reads, including along busy roads & HighwaysWork typically starts in the field between 7am – 8am & 6:30am on the days where it is going to be over 35 degrees & must download completed work by 4:30pm each day once route has been completedWhat we Offer:Equipment providedTrainingFlexible ongoing full-time opportunities (available for full time hours is preferred for scheduling)$***** per hour + superIdeally you will have the flexibility to be available for up to 37.5 hours per week, training is usually full-time hoursClear Drug & Alcohol test and Police Check required before placement.At Chandler Macleod, we are committed to fostering a diverse workforce where everyone is welcome.
