PO3 Engineer (Traffic)
Gold Coast | 2-year contract | $*****–$*****/ hour + 12% SuperOur state government partner is seeking a PO3 Engineer (Traffic) to join their team in Nerang, contributing to traffic engineering and road safety initiatives across the state-controlled road network.
This is a great prospect to work on practical projects that improve road safety, traffic flow and network performance across the Gold Coast region.

Work on meaningful road safety and traffic engineering projects across the region
About the role
Provide technical expertise across traffic engineering, road safety and road network operations
Investigate traffic and road safety issues and develop practical solutions
Support the delivery of road safety programs and minor works across the region
Provide technical advice to internal teams and stakeholders
Key responsibilities
Investigate, analyse and review traffic and road safety issues across the state-controlled network
Contribute to the Road Safety Minor Works program and identify value-for-money treatments
Support project proposals for Road Safety Mass Action Plans, Safer Roads Sooner and Black Spot Programs
Provide specialist advice on traffic investigations, safety programs, signage and line marking




Prepare technical reports, correspondence and responses to public and Ministerial enquiries
Communicate technical information and advice to internal and external stakeholders
Apply relevant engineering standards, policies, guidelines and legislative requirements
About you
Bachelor of Engineering, or an equivalent qualification assessed by Engineers Australia
Experience or knowledge of traffic engineering and road safety principles will be highly regarded
Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
Current Class C driver's licence and Construction Industry Induction (White Card)
Ability to work across relevant road infrastructure sites
