About Us
At Custom Denning, we're proudly Australian and recognised as an industry leader in the design, manufacture, and support of premium buses and transport solutions. With a strong reputation for innovation, quality, and reliability, we partner with public and private transport operators to deliver vehicles that keep Australia moving.
As we continue to grow, we're seeking an experienced and hands-on Warehouse Manager to lead our warehouse operations and ensure the productive flow of materials that support our manufacturing and service teams. This is an opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation where your leadership and expertise will have a direct impact on business performance.
About the Role
Reporting to the Planning and Materials Manager, you will take end-to-end ownership of our warehouse operations — inventory accuracy, team leadership, stock control, material movements, and ongoing process improvement. You will be the link between supply and the production line, making sure materials are received, stored, and delivered safely, accurately, and on time.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, coach, and develop the warehouse team, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and teamwork.
Ensure all inventory is stored, handled, and maintained in a safe and secure manner to minimise damage and loss.
Implement and maintain effective inventory control processes to ensure stock accuracy and availability.
Coordinate the timely supply of materials and components to production and service operations.
Monitor and maintain accurate warehouse records, including inventory transactions, goods receipting, dispatches, and stock movements.
Drive warehouse efficiency through effective warehouse layout, storage optimisation, and space utilisation.
Manage inbound and outbound logistics activities, ensuring service levels and delivery requirements are met.
Liaise with suppliers, freight providers, and internal stakeholders to support operational objectives.
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and relevant workplace regulations.
Identify opportunities for process improvements that increase productivity, accuracy, and cost efficiency.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will be a confident leader with a strong operational mindset and a passion for building high-performing teams.
You will bring:
Proven experience in a Warehouse Manager, Warehouse Supervisor, or similar leadership role.
Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and stock management processes.
Demonstrated experience leading, training, and mentoring warehouse personnel.
A current Forklift Licence with recent hands-on operating experience.
Strong organisational, planning, and time management skills.
Experience using ERP or inventory management systems.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
A proactive and disciplined approach with a commitment to continuous improvement.
Experience within a manufacturing environment will be highly regarded.
Why Join Custom Denning?
Be part of an iconic Australian manufacturer driving innovation in the transport industry.
Join a collaborative and supportive team focused on excellence and continuous improvement.
Market-competitive salary package aligned with experience.
Chance to contribute to a growing business with a strong future pipeline.
Genuine opportunity to make an impact and influence operational success.
At Custom Denning we are deeply committed to Reconciliation and encourage Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people to apply.
