Makin Mattresses is seeking an
Assistant Sales Manager
to join our energetic sales team in Nundah, QLD. This is a
full-time position
that offers an exciting opportunity to develop your career in sales management within the retail and manufacturing sector. You will work closely with our Sales Manager to drive sales performance, support team development, and ensure exceptional customer experiences across our operations. This role is crucial to maintaining our high standards of service and achieving our ambitious sales targets.
Key responsibilities
Assist the Sales Manager in achieving and exceeding sales targets and key performance indicators across all product lines
Provide frontline support to the sales team, including coaching, training and performance monitoring to ensure consistent service excellence
Manage customer relationships and handle complex sales enquiries to ensure customer satisfaction and retention
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with warehouse and production teams to ensure product availability
Prepare and analyse sales reports, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement
Participate in promotional activities and help develop strategies to drive customer engagement and brand awareness
Support the recruitment and onboarding of new sales staff as required
Maintain compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and industry standards
Contribute to a positive team culture and support the achievement of departmental objectives
What we're looking for
Proven experience in a sales role, ideally with some supervisory or team leadership experience
Strong understanding of sales principles, customer service excellence and retail operations
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and support team members
Demonstrated ability to analyse data,
track performance metrics and identify sales opportunities
Experience in the mattress, furniture or retail industry is highly desirable but not essential
Problem-solving mindset with the ability to handle customer concerns professionally and effectively
Proficiency in using sales systems, CRM software and Microsoft Office applications
Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel as required
A proactive, organised approach with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
Passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences and driving business growth
