Are you an experienced Room Leader who is passionate about creating meaningful learning experiences for young children?
Defence One Tree Childcare Coventry is looking for a dedicated
Toddler Room Leader
to lead our 2–3-year-old room and work alongside a supportive and experienced team of educators.
This is an opportunity to take ownership of your room, support your team and create an engaging environment where children feel safe, confident and excited to learn.
About Coventry
Located in the heart of Southbank, Coventry is a small and welcoming
50-place service
offering long day care across our nursery, toddler and kindergarten programs.
With parklands across the road, a tram stop on our doorstep, free on-site parking and plenty of cafés and amenities nearby, Coventry offers the convenience of an inner-city location while maintaining the close-knit feel of a smaller service.

Monday to Friday, 7:00am–6:30pm

Our Educators Our educators are passionate, professional and take inspiration from child-centred approaches when developing their programs. Just like the children we teach, we're always growing. At One Tree, you'll be supported to continue developing your career through training, mentoring, coaching and opportunities to take your career in directions you may not have thought possible.
What you'll be doing
Lead and support a team of educators within our toddler room.
Create a nurturing, inclusive and engaging environment for children aged 2–3 years.
Develop and implement meaningful, age-appropriate learning experiences.
Build positive and collaborative relationships with children, families and colleagues.
Support your team with programming, routines and day-to-day room responsibilities.
Maintain high standards of practice in line with regulatory requirements, child safety standards and One Tree policies and procedures.
Be a strong advocate for children's rights, wellbeing and development.
About you
To be successful in this role, you'll have:
Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or an ACECQA-approved equivalent.
2+ years' experience as a Room Leader
within the Early Childhood sector.
Able to work a versatile roster
Robust leadership skills and the ability to support and motivate a team.




A collaborative and positive approach to working with educators and families.
Excellent communication, organisation and time-management skills.
A genuine passion for early childhood education and advocating for children's rights.
Current Victorian Working with Children Check.
National Police Clearance.
Current Child Safety training.
Current Mandatory Reporting certificate.
A reliable, dedicated and professional approach to your role.
