About the role
The Client Relationship Manager is a key growth role supporting the continued expansion of Aspen Legal's NSW secondments business.
Working closely with the Head of Secondments NSW and the broader secondments team, you will build and strengthen client relationships, drive account growth, identify new business opportunities, and contribute to Aspen Legal's market presence. You'll take ownership of a portfolio of clients, engage confidently with senior stakeholders, and play an important role in achieving our growth objectives.
This role is ideal for a commercially minded relationship manager who enjoys combining client service, business development and strategic growth in a high-performing, entrepreneurial environment.
Key responsibilities
Manage and grow key client relationships
by acting as a trusted adviser and primary point of contact, ensuring exceptional service and long-term client retention.
Drive account growth
by identifying and converting opportunities within existing client relationships.
Generate new business opportunities
through networking, referrals, market engagement and proactive outreach.
Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline,
maintaining accurate CRM records and forecasting future opportunities.
Represent Aspen Legal
at client events, conferences and industry networking functions.




Prepare proposals, capability statements and pitch materials
to support new business opportunities.
Monitor market trends
to identify emerging opportunities and inform commercial strategy.
Contribute to revenue growth
through a combination of client retention, account expansion and new client acquisition.
About you
We're looking for a natural relationship builder who combines strong commercial acumen with a warm, engaging approach. You'll be proactive, self-motivated and comfortable taking ownership of client relationships from initial engagement through to long-term partnership.
You'll bring:
Experience in a client-facing role within legal, professional services or a similar B2B environment.
A proven track record of managing and growing client relationships, with responsibility for revenue generation, business development or account growth.
Demonstrated success identifying and converting recent business opportunities.
Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging senior decision-makers.
Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building capabilities.
The ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Experience using CRM systems to manage pipelines and track opportunities.
Exposure to marketing, events or brand-building initiatives (desirable but not essential).
