The Opportunity
Sorry Thanks I Love You is an internationally recognised concept store, and we're looking for some of the best people in Sydney to join our retail team on a part time and casual basis.
If you love experimenting, working in a small but excellent team, and are looking for a wage that comes with a few special extras, we'd like to hear from you.
About Sorry Thanks I Love You
Sorry Thanks I Love You is a multidimensional project that exists to nurture and inspire via a mash-up of fashion, design and art delivered through a range of experimental spaces. As we enter a new phase of expansion and development, we're looking to grow our team.
With a culture of excellence and a focus on ideas through experimentation and exploration, we focus on story-telling. Provocative events and experiences are at the heart of our concept: from pioneering Sydney's first independent fashion festival, to international collaborations with iconic brands like Dover Street Market and Marimekko.
Our flagship space is located across more than 300 square metres in the heart of the CBD and we work with brands like Comme Des Garçons, Issey Miyake, Maison Margiela, and Yohji Yamamoto among many others.
It's a world-class curation that has seen us singled out by the best media in the world.
Our Paddington boutique is located at the long-awaited current development The Olympia, alongside London's cult Palomar restaurant, a sleek rooftop bar, and Australia's first 25hours hotel.
What we're looking for
We have a culture of nurturing our team over the longer term and developing their careers along their ideal trajectory. For this reason even our casual team members tend to stay with us for years rather than months, and we don't hire often.
So this is a rare opportunity to join a small and ambitious team committed to community, contrarianism and experimentation.
Key Responsibilities
To be successful, you must have:
A genuine excitement about transforming the norms in the retail space
A true love for design, fashion, food, art, travel...
Plenty of prior customer-facing experience
A natural affinity for building rapport and creating authentic relationships
A track record of being results-driven and an enjoyment of striving for targets
Fluency in English. Multilingual ability is a plus.
Flexibility to work a retail schedule including evenings, weekends and public holidays in line with business needs.
This position will be based in Sydney and applicants must be available to work on week days, weekends and public holidays. Remuneration includes a base wage, a bonus structure and other perks. Only successful applicants will be contacted.
