Seeking an experienced Workshop Supervisor to lead our growing Rydalmere workshop team.
This hands‐on leadership role is responsible for coordinating installations, servicing, repairs and maintenance of cranes, hookloaders and associated equipment while ensuring outstanding safety, quality and customer outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate workshop and field service activities
Manage installations, servicing, repairs and maintenance of Palfinger equipment
Plan and schedule workshop workloads to meet customer delivery commitments
Allocate labour, parts, equipment and subcontractor resources effectively
Monitor productivity, labour utilisation and workshop performance
Provide technical support and resolve operational issues
Lead, coach and develop a multiskilled team
Conduct performance reviews, training and onboarding activities
Maintain strong customer relationships and provide regular job updates
Ensure all work meets Palfinger quality standards and compliance requirements
Drive a culture of safety, accountability and continuous improvement
About You




You will be a proven workshop leader with robust technical and people management skills, ideally within heavy vehicle, transport equipment, manufacturing or engineering environments.
To be successful, you will have:
Previous experience leading workshop, service or maintenance teams
Strong planning, scheduling and resource management skills
A commitment to workplace safety and quality outcomes
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to lead, coach and develop high-performing teams
Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast‐paced environment
Trade qualification in a mechanical, fabrication or related discipline
