About the role
At AGL, we're helping shape Australia's energy future and are looking for an experienced maintenance leader to join our Hydro team in Mount Beauty NSW.
Reporting to the Hydro Maintenance Manager, you'll lead a multi-disciplinary team responsible for delivering safe, reliable and efficient maintenance, operational and project activities across AGL's hydro generation assets.
This is a hands-on leadership role, where you'll oversee maintenance programs, outages, capital works and continuous improvement initiatives while building team capability, driving a solid safety culture and ensuring the ongoing performance of critical infrastructure that powers Australian communities.
What You Will Be Doing
Lead, coach and develop maintenance and operational teams across NSW hydro assets.
Coordinate maintenance programs, outages, breakdown response activities and project delivery.
Manage contractors, resources, budgets and work schedules to achieve operational objectives.
Drive a proactive safety culture and ensure compliance with HSE requirements.
Collaborate with engineering, planning,



operations and stakeholder teams to improve asset performance and reliability.
What You Will Bring
A trade qualification or engineering qualification, with experience in power generation, utilities or heavy industrial environments.
Demonstrated success leading multi-disciplinary maintenance, operations or field-based teams.
Strong maintenance planning, contractor management and project delivery experience.
A commitment to safety leadership and continuous improvement.
Well-developed problem-solving, stakeholder management and communication skills.
Experience using SAP or a similar CMMS will be highly regarded.
