Join a Multidisciplinary Team Driving Real Outcomes
Ability Advocates operates from our Parramatta base, with expansion into Blacktown (July) and Liverpool (October).
We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist who wants more than a standard clinic role - someone interested in working across therapy, functional outcomes, employment pathways, and community participation.
Versatile permanent roles available from 1 day per week through to full time.
About Ability Advocates
Ability Advocates operates across two aligned entities:
Ability Advocates Australia (AAA) – Registered Group Training Provider, allied health service and NDIS provider
Ability Advocates Foundation (AAF) – advocacy and outreach for unfunded individuals
Together, we work beyond traditional service models -integrating:
Allied health
Employment and training pathways
Community participation
Advocacy and system navigation
Our model is built on whole-person support - starting with the individual, not the funding stream.
The Model
This is not a high-volume therapy service.
You will work within a multidisciplinary, outcome-focused environment integrating:
Occupational Therapy
Psychology
Speech Pathology
Employment and community programs
Behaviour support pathways
We prioritise:
Functional outcomes over session delivery
Real-world independence (home, community, workplace)
Long-term participant outcomes across life domains
Your Role
You will:
Conduct functional assessments and develop goal-based therapy plans
Deliver interventions across:
daily living skills
emotional regulation and sensory processing
executive functioning and vocational readiness
community and workplace participation
Work across Parramatta, with opportunities across Blacktown and Liverpool
Deliver services in clinic, home, community and workplace settings
Prepare NDIS reports, plan reviews,
and (where relevant) access/appeal documentation
Contribute to home modification and assistive technology assessments (incl. Homes NSW projects)
Supervise and mentor Allied Health Assistants
Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team across advocacy, therapy and employment
What Sets This Role Apart
Flexible permanent employment model – from 1 day/week through to full-time
Salary aligned to experience (pro-rata)
Established Parramatta base + Western Sydney expansion
Integrated service delivery - therapy + employment + community outcomes
Varied caseload - disability, psychosocial, functional and vocational needs
Involvement in advocacy and systemic work (via AAF)
Opportunity to contribute to program design and innovation
Leadership pathway into senior clinician or team lead roles
Why Join Us

Work across clinical, functional, and systemic domains
