You will support important checks that help keep the department safe.
You will guide candidates and managers through security screening.

Ongoing full-time role earning $81,496 - $98,955 per year, plus super.
About us
The Recruitment Services branch within People, Safety, and Culture provides expert advice and support to the department on all recruitment related matters, including attraction, selection, redeployment and other recruitment and retention practices.
Working within the department's vision for a justice and community safety system that works together to build a safer, fairer, and stronger Victoria, Recruitment Services delivers consultative, progressive, innovative, fair, and ethical recruitment solutions.
What you will do
As security and safety officer, you will support security checks for new employees. You will provide clear advice and helpful service to candidates and managers.
You will:
coordinate
security
checks, including police checks and fingerprinting for high-risk roles.
provide
clear
support to candidates and managers about screening requirements.
answer enquiries by phone, email or in writing with
courteous
service.
keep
accurate
records and update systems with sensitive information.
find
practical
ways to improve processes and support the recruitment team.
About you
You do not need a formal qualification for this role.



You need experience in administration and customer service, ideally in a large organisation.
You should also have:
experience handling
sensitive
and confidential information with care.
experience using
recruitment systems
and supporting HR processes.
strong
communication
skills and the ability to work at a fast pace.
a
flexible
approach, with sound judgement and confidence solving problems.
