The Sydney office of this premier law firm is looking for a talented senior lawyer - either a Senior Associate or Special Counsel - with funds management experience.
Funds Management
The Funds Management team at this law firm is widely regarded as one of the strongest practices in the country.

The team has been involved in an enviable amount of Australia's largest and most high-profile investment funds transactions, where they have advised on floats, low-doc rights issues, institutional placements, other equity capital market initiatives, and mergers and acquisitions.
Position Description
You will work most closely with a partner who is considered a leader in the industry.
Your position will provide you with exposure to areas including property trusts, other managed investment schemes, alternate investments, private equity, hedge funds and managed funds generally within the context of the financial services laws.




Day to day you will provide advice on:
establishing, structuring, promoting and marketing funds;
funds management and regulatory issues;
M&A;
property trusts;
managed investment schemes;
alternate investments;
A-REITs; and
structured products.

Requirements
You will have between
6 and 12 years'
experience in funds management from a notable practice in Australia or another English speaking jurisdiction.
In addition, you will have:
A detailed understanding of the
financial services industry

A developed
commercial awareness
; and
A willingness to
mentor
and
supervise
lawyers in the team.
