EDQ plays a critical role in unlocking land for housing supply both in Priority Development Areas (PDAs) and on surplus Government land.
The Development Services division within EDQ enables recent housing, commercial and mixed-use development across Queensland through planning, development approvals and a significant infrastructure funding program.
Seeking a talented leader who want to shape Queensland's future as Director, Planning.
Leading a team of dedicated regulatory planners, you will primarily: • Lead and manage service delivery of development assessment planning for assigned existing and potential Priority Development Areas (PDAs) and projects,



ensuring business improvement, regulatory and compliance excellence, and the development of effective systems and frameworks.
• Provide high-level advice and act as a delegate for legislative processes, while serving as an escalation point for resolving complex planning and engineering issues.
Success in this role requires experience leading service delivery and strategic program management in complex planning, development or infrastructure environments; an ability to build and sustain strategic relationships with customers and stakeholders; excellent written and verbal communication skills and tertiary qualifications in land use planning or a related discipline/s.
