As a Stakeholder Engagement Social Procurement Manager you will support Hickory's portfolio of projects and broader business to deliver effective stakeholder engagement, project communications and social procurement outcomes.
Working closely with project teams, customers, social enterprise suppliers, community organisations and government stakeholders, you'll coordinate engagement and communications activities, support social procurement initiatives, and manage associated reporting, compliance and contractual requirements.
We're looking for someone with experience in a similar role who brings strong stakeholder relationships and established connections across community organisations, social enterprises, government, industry and/or employment networks.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Social Procurement Delivery Develop and manage social supplier network such as social enterprises, First Nations businesses, disability enterprises and community organisations.
Support the implementation of social procurement initiatives across initiatives across Hickory projects and business operations.
Assist project teams in understanding and meeting social procurement requirements.
Foster collaboration between operational teams, customers, suppliers and community partners to achieve shared outcomes.
Monitor project performance against social procurement targets and work collaboratively with project teams to achieve contractual outcomes.
Social Impact Initiatives Coordinate the delivery of Hickory's social impact strategy, policies and initiatives, including social procurement and community investment initiatives.
Coordinate internal and external activities and partnerships that support Hickory's social commitments, including engagement with community organisations, First Nations organisations, social enterprises and other relevant partners.
Track, report and communicate progress and outcomes against Hickory's social commitments, identifying opportunities to strengthen our impact and share successes across the business.
Stakeholder Community Engagement Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships and implement stakeholder and community engagement activities across projects and the broader Hickory portfolio Monitor and manage stakeholder feedback, issues and opportunities, maintaining appropriate engagement plans and registers Coordinate and deliver project communications and stakeholder updates, including newsletters, project updates, notices, presentations, FAQs and other communications materials.
Manage meetings, supplier introductions and stakeholder engagement activities.




Coordinate employment initiatives by liaising with training providers, employment agencies and community partners.
Compliance Reporting Track and report on social procurement outcomes, including workforce participation and supplier engagement metrics.
Collect and maintain supporting evidence from subcontractors and suppliers.
Prepare customer reports and compliance submissions.
Maintain accurate records and reporting systems to support contractual obligations.
Tender Project Support Lead the development of social procurement and stakeholder engagement content for tender submissions, including commitments, targets, methodologies and delivery plans.
Support project teams with social procurement planning and implementation activities.
Coordinate documentation and administrative requirements associated with social procurement commitments.
Continuous Improvement Maintain registers of social benefit suppliers and key stakeholders.
Support the development of processes, templates and reporting tools.
Stay informed of industry developments and changes to relevant government policies and frameworks.
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THE ROLE Demonstrated experience managing stakeholder engagement and social procurement programs within construction, infrastructure, property or related industries.
Understanding of government social procurement frameworks and community engagement best practice.
Strong understanding of government social procurement frameworks and community engagement best practice.
Includes: the Victorian Social Procurement Framework (SPF), MPSG, Local Jobs First (LJF), BEP and Fair Jobs Code.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, community organisations, social enterprises and diverse suppliers.
High attention to detail, particularly when managing reporting, compliance and documentation.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Experience in the use of CMS/stakeholder management systems for communications would be advantageous.
