Position: Marketing Specialist Position Type : Full-Time Salary: $80,000 plus superannuation per annum Location: Parramatta NSW **** Our client is seeking an experienced Marketing Specialist to lead its in-house marketing function across its three Sydney venues.
The role is responsible for developing and delivering marketing strategy, running promotional and events campaigns, tracking customer and market trends, and building brand awareness among target diners, including families, corporate clients and the halal dining market.
The position has been established to bring key marketing activities in-house, reducing reliance on external marketing agencies while enabling more consistent, responsive and business-focused marketing support.
The Marketing Specialist will work closely with the Director, venue managers and external suppliers such as photographers, social media platforms and booking platforms to plan and deliver marketing initiatives that support covers, function bookings and brand growth across the business.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: ·Develop and implement annual and seasonal marketing strategies and budgets across the three venues, and advise the Director and venue managers on brand positioning, target markets (including the halal dining segment) and campaign direction to support sales objectives and business growth.
·Advise on product mix and pricing positioning, and plan and execute go-to-market and promotional campaigns for new set menus, seasonal offers and brand initiatives introduced by the business, such as the Gold Series and lunch specials, aligned with overall marketing objectives.
·Research and analyse Sydney dining and hospitality trends, competitor steakhouse offerings, customer preferences and booking and engagement data to interpret and predict consumer demand and identify new opportunities.
·Commission and undertake market research, including customer surveys, to assess demand for new services such as private dining, function packages and potential new locations.




·Manage and develop content across the 500 Degrees website, social media platforms and email newsletter, and coordinate the production of marketing collateral including menus, photography, videography and promotional material, within agreed timeframes and budgets, while maintaining consistent brand guidelines across venues.
·Plan and deliver marketing support for functions, private events and group bookings, and liaise with external agencies, photographers, media partners and platform providers to deliver campaigns on time and on budget.
·Advise on pricing, promotional offers and distribution channels, including online bookings, gift cards and third-party listing platforms, to support revenue growth.
·Monitor and analyse the performance of marketing campaigns and promotions against covers, bookings and revenue outcomes, and prepare reports with recommendations on marketing return on investment and future strategy, maintaining marketing databases to support data-driven decision-making.
Requirements: ·Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in Marketing, Business, Commerce or a related discipline.
At least five (5) years of relevant industry experience may substitute for the formal qualification.
·A minimum of 3 years' relevant experience in a marketing, brand development or client-facing commercial/business development role, with exposure to market research, consumer trend analysis, or promotional and campaign coordination.
·Robust analytical skills, with the ability to interpret consumer data, market trends and campaign performance to inform business decisions.
·Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional language skills, such as Mandarin, highly regarded to support engagement with a culturally diverse customer base.
·Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with suppliers, agencies and partners.
·Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with social media management, content scheduling or design tools such as Canva or Adobe highly regarded.
·Highly organised, proactive and able to manage multiple campaigns and venues concurrently.
